Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller 
This company is looking to groom someone to be the CFO; company is about $250 
million in revenues; compensations is 75-90k base with a 15% bonus. 

â?¢ Fully understand, effectively use, and help other team members in the 
accounting department to use the JD Edwards accounting system to provide 
accurate and useful information and reports. 

â?¢ Support facility and operations managers by answering questions and 
providing monthly analysis of facility profitability. 

â?¢ Document procedures in each area of responsibility. 

â?¢ Coordinate the monthly general ledger closing process for the US and 
Canadian operations. 

â?¢ Coordinate annual audit and compilation of data for tax returns for the US 
and Canadian operations. 

â?¢ Review and revise billing rates as requested. 

â?¢ Assist Director of Accounting and VP of Finance and Administration in 
coordinating and compiling the annual budget. 

â?¢ Assist Director of Accounting and IS department in correcting and improving 
existing operation of accounting software including interfaces with outside 
systems. 

â?¢ Analyze US and Canadian accruals and other key general ledger accounts on a 
monthly basis. Prepare or review account analyses and/or reconciliations. 

â?¢ Conduct performance reviews on all team members in accounting department. 

â?¢ Make suggestions and implement new ideas to streamline and improve the 
accounting functions. 

â?¢ Other duties and assigned or as may be necessary as requested by Director 
of Accounting or VP of Finance and Administration.

â?¢ Evaluate control environments, conduct testing, prepare documentation, etc. 
in both the execution of the Audit Plan as well as in support of Sarbanes Oxley 
Compliance testing.

periodic assessment of the Annual Audit Plan. 
â?¢ Demonstrate technical proficiency in professional standards and 
field-related concepts. 
â?¢ Provide regular feedback to Audit Manager and Audit Director, as 
applicable, regarding the status of audit progress including targeted audit 
completion, scheduling of meetings, performance of staff, audit issues, etc. 
â?¢ Manages the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and 
defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence and 
documenting processes and procedures.
