GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
The Kentucky Arts Council (KAC) seeks a creative and motivated =
individual to serve as Arts Education Program Director.   =
Responsibilities include managing the KAC's Arts Education programs =
which are designed to provide quality arts education programming and =
training.  This position offers a unique opportunity to assist with =
assessment and expansion of arts education programming for the KAC, =
enhancement of arts education in Kentucky, and advocating for the =
importance of arts education for the complete education of all students. =
 The Arts Education Program Director will work collaboratively with all =
agency staff to further the mission and ends of the KAC, and coordinate =
and integrate arts education programs with other KAC programs.  =20

=C2=B7        Management of Arts Education Roster=20
=C2=B7        Management of Poetry Out Loud Program
=C2=B7        Development and implementation of professional development =
and technical assistance opportunities for teaching artists, educators, =
arts organizations and communities. =20

practices, and production and dissemination of resource materials=20
=C2=B7        Liaison to state, regional, and national arts education =

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.  Must have =
three years of experience in the administration of or consultation with =
organizations that serve artists or foster public involvement in the =
arts.  Graduate study in creative arts or arts management will =
substitute for the experience on a year=E2=80=91for=E2=80=91year basis.  =
Additional experience in creative arts or arts management will =
substitute for the education on a year=E2=80=91for=E2=80=91year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Develops, manages and coordinates statewide arts programs or projects in =
areas such as community arts development, artist's residences, workshops =
or touring exhibitions.  Prepares and reviews grant applications and =
maintains records for arts programs.  Monitors program activities.  =
Designs and proposes programs for the Kentucky Arts Council.  Consults =
with community arts organizations in building community support, fund =
raising, program planning and organizational development. Interprets =
program guidelines for applicants.  Coordinates the grant review =
process. Develops program guidelines.  Assists artists and groups in =
developing arts programs. Coordinates specific program activities with =
other arts programs. The position requires at a minimum, a Bachelor's =
degree in arts education, arts administration or fine arts and at least =
three years experience as an arts education professional, including but =
not limited to instruction, curriculum development and/or arts education =
administration.  A Master's degree in arts or education is preferred.  =
Certification to teach in public schools in one or more art forms is a =
plus.  =20

Knowledge of Kentucky Educational Reform Act (KERA) including Core =
Content for Assessment, Academic Expectations, and Program of Study is a =
must.  =20
Knowledge of developing standards-based units of instruction and open =
response questions is a plus.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of the arts, and arts in education =
including familiarity with age-appropriate arts instruction and student =
learning, and a thorough understanding of current research and trends in =
arts education.  =20

Experience with grant and program management=20

Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and computer =
skills

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work well in a team =

Job Summary

The Fine Arts Fund is seeking a Director of Database Management to =
provide database administration and technical support to its =
development, marketing and advocacy initiatives while also managing the =
tracking of campaign revenues and pledges receivable for the finance =
team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Operations, the =
primary responsibilities of this position will be database =
administration, data reporting, supervision of data entry, and =
management of on-line pledge system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities=20

*       Continually build and refine the organization's understanding of its =
donors and work collaboratively with other members of the organization =
to develop strategies for leveraging donor data to advance the work of =
the organization.=20
*       Serve as liaison with Information Technology consultants as well as, =
development, marketing and advocacy team members and donors to determine =
information requirements (both present and future) and drive the =
development of the infrastructure so those needs can be met.=20
*       Champion the acquisition, implementation, training and adoption of =
processes and technologies for effective donor relationship management =
for all team members according to standard policies and practices.=20
*       Serve as a team member on strategic planning efforts as 'guru' on =
donor data. Manage the development database (PledgeMaker); including =
maintenance and data integrity to ensure the system contains complete =
and accurate records relating to all aspects of fundraising and finance. =

*       Create and run reports and queries; train staff to run reports.=20
*        Import data from third party partners and ensure its integrity.=20
*       Take lead on all augmentation / clean up of existing data sources and =
ensure donor data is fresh, current and as enhanced as possible for the =
most effective use of all the information available.=20
*       Work with development, marketing, advocacy, finance and other team =
members to ensure their data needs are met.=20
*       Oversee collection efforts as well as the compilation of gift =
acknowledgement lists, direct appeal mailing lists, newsletter mailing =
lists, etc.=20
*       Serve as project manager for database =
upgrades/conversion/configuration/ testing/training.=20
