Who is the ideal candidates?
Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority/Metro has an Application
Support/Business Analyst.  This is a new position within Metro.  Our
ideal candidate is an energetic, proactive individual.  The candidate
must be able to manage and coordinate multiple priorities.  Excellent
verbal and written communication skills are required.  Candidate should
be a team player and able to communicate and interact with a range of
Accounting, HR and Operational team members.
 
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Computer Science.  Minimum of 4 years
experience in a general accounting or IT/accounting support environment
required.  Consulting or other client service experience preferred.
 
Proven ability in one or more programming languages and proficiency in
application reporting tools and database management; i.e., SQL
inquiries, Access, Crystal and other report writing, Web/ASP
development, etc.
 
What are the job responsibilities?
Candidate would provide day-to-day application support for accounting
systems.  Candidate would also provide needed development expertise in
database management, SQL inquiries, Access, Crystal and other report
writing, Web/ASP development, etc 
 
Provide recommendations on how software can be utilized more effectively
and/or more efficiently to advance both departmental and organizational
goals
 
Write custom reports and ad-hoc inquiries using Access, Crystal, SQL  or
other applications as appropriate
 
Lead software installations, conversions and upgrades to Accounting
applications
 
Serve as Accounting Department representative on all other
installations/conversions/upgrades to software belonging to other
Departments
 
Help train existing Accounting personnel to execute the custom reports
and inquiries once developed and to better utilize these technologies in
performing their duties more efficiently.
