2) June 28 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Leveraging RFID
Radio frequency identification, or RFID, is a generic term for technologies
that use radio waves to automatically identify people or objects. It
continues to evolve as a major technology for tracking goods and assets
around the world.
The Department of Defense (DoD) and many major retailers, including
Wal-Mart, now require their suppliers to use RFID tags on pallets and in
cases that are shipped to select distribution centers and stores. Similar
mandates are just around the corner for scores of manufacturers and
distributors throughout the world. And while businesses across many
industries and market sectors are looking to use RFID technology in
different ways, retailer mandates are the driving force behind the current
interest in this technology.
Join other small to mid-size businesses in learning about RFID and how you
can effectively leverage it with existing business technology. Panel to
include: Ray Hagedorn, Premier Executive Consulting Group Jayne Homsher ,
PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Centers) Brent Peters , CIBER
