Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a related field, Masters preferred
Five to seven years experience in social services
Three years experience with leadership over staff of 3 or more

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati (IHNGC) is
currently searching for a new Executive Director. Interested individuals

until the position is filled. The successful candidate will be identified by
January 30 with an expected start date no later than April 1, 2009.

IHNGC is the faith community's response to family homelessness. The mission
of IHNGC is to provide homeless families emergency shelter and hospitality
through interfaith communities and to work with these families to find and

The Executive Director (ED) is the Chief Executive Officer of IHNGC. The ED
reports directly to the Board of Directors and with the board is responsible
for making sure IHNGC achieves its mission. The ED is further responsible
for the financial objectives as defined by the board to meet the
organizations strategic goals. The ED is responsible for all aspects of the
organizational work including, fundraising, public relations, financial
management and staff supervision. The ED is also responsible for promoting
and fostering a broad public awareness and understanding of the organization
and its value to the community.

Accountability: Board of Directors
Position Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Board of Directors and keep the Board informed of all
relevant issues
Oversee all Shelter Operations
Take a leadership role in fundraising for the organization
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs to help the organization meet
the objectives of IHNGC's vision and mission statements
Hire and supervise all IHNGC's staff
Serve as a spokesperson for the agency with governmental offices, funding
and other community organizations and collaborate with these agencies to
alleviate the problem of homelessness in Cincinnati
Recruit new congregations and collaborate with current network congregations

Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of IHNGC's
work
Serve as a community advocate for the client population

Personal qualities that will facilitate carrying out these responsibilities
are:
A passion for helping homeless families find and retain permanent housing
Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work with
individuals of diverse backgrounds
Previous experience with fund raising
Ability to recruit, supervise and motivate staff and volunteers and to
function effectively as the team leader
Experience in program, project and budget management
Working knowledge of other social service agencies in the area and the
ability to relate and collaborate with their key staff members
A working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field
