The July ExecuNet Recruiter Confidence Poll, of 205 recruiters reveals
search professionals are expecting a stronger executive employment market in
the months ahead.
Recruiter Confidence in Employment Market ? Next 6 months
DESPITE SEASONAL SLOWDOWN, CONFIDENCE
IN THE EXECUTIVE EMPLOYMENT MARKET INCREASES
The majority of recruiters (52%) report that business conditions in the
executive search industry improved over the past thirty days, down slightly
from 55% in June. Despite this drop, confidence in the executive employment
market continues to grow. Just 27% of recruiters are not confident that the
executive employment will improve during the next 3 months ? down from 32%
last month. Of those expecting the executive employment market to improve in
the three months ahead, 51% are somewhat confident and 22% are either
confident or very confident.
In looking toward the next six months, recruiters are even more confident
the executive employment market will gain strength:
a.. Just 9% are not confident, down from 12% last month;
b.. 47% are somewhat confident; and
c.. 44% are confident or very confident in the market.
Over the course of the next three months, the search industry is expecting
an 8.4% increase in the number of assignments they receive from companies.
For the next six months, this projection increases to 15%.
To prepare for growth in the executive employment market, 32% of recruiters
report that their firm has plans to hire additional professional staff in
the next three months, this is more than twice the number (15%) that have
increased staff in the past three months.
