I hesitated to comment on this e-mail when it came through because I
didn't
want to add to the abusive of this service; however, I whole heartedly
concur with Tim's comments. Bill Matthews request is unethical and out
of
line.

Bill,
With all due respect, I feel this is an abuse of this list. Not only are
you
using it as your own personal listserv, you are also asking others to do
your homework for you, which is dishonest to your potential employer as
well
as to yourself. If you need to know how to do these things in Excel for
your
job, learn to use Excel. Go to a library and get the Dummies book on it;
it
will get you a quick leg up on the subject, and experience does the
rest.
Good luck.

Hi y'all!
=20
Anyone out there knowledgeable in Excel who might have some ideas as
to
how
to solve this problem that my prospective employer sent to me? If so,
let me
know and I'll send you the Excel attachment that goes with it. Here's
what he sent me:
=20
If you want to impress me with what you know, write the
appropriate Excel look up function on Sheet1 in cell C2 and copy thru
C7 of
the attached file to find the data on tab "July 22 thru July 27."=20
The
result should look like cell B2 thru B7 except yours will be formulas.
This will take a little creativity. I did mine in 5 minutes including
the
set up of the spreadsheet from scratch. Here's a clue; I created, used
and
later removed some features to accomplish my goal before I removed the
formulas, but your features and formulas will need to stay (and all of
it
was done in 5 minutes).
Thanks
