Supervises: All area personnel
Organizational Relationships: Line Operators, Line Technicians, Planners,
Production Manager, and all support groups.
Basic Function: Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of assembly lines.
Monitors and maintains production, quality and safety on assembly lines and
provides information for planning and scheduling.
Responsibilities:
1. Direct filling and/or assembly activities as they pertain to area of
responsibility, assuring the correct product, proper quantity, best quality at
the least cost.
2. To insure correct weights, line spec sheets, and components on the line.
3. Responsible for the maintenance of good housekeeping within the
department.
4. Checks production schedule and assist in the completion of change overs
on
assembly lines to produce products in accordance with customer specifications
and within costs.
5. Required to be familiar with all machine and equipment in their area to
the extent
that they may make minor repairs and improvements and recognize the
need for
maintenance.
6. Solve minor problems in their area of responsibility.
7. Must have the ability to lead others and must be capable of training
those
assigned under him/her and assist in evaluation information gathering.
8. Must use considerable judgment and be capable of improvising and have
the
ability to handle irregularity.
9. Recommends and assists in making improvements in methods and procedures.
10. Insures that the Warehouse Technician has supplied the assembly line
with a
continuous supply of product, components, code stamps, labels, and
other
supplies.
11. Capable of planning and organizing equipment in a manner which will
assure
optimum production and reducing downtime.
12. They should be capable of determining when major repairs or overhaul of
equipment is required and the correct procedure for getting this done.
13. Complies with G.M.P. ?s, environmental and Human Resources procedures
and
display a safe work habit at all times.
14. Have general knowledge of plant layout, operations, warehousing and
material
handling which directly affects his/her area.
15. Should be capable of interacting with other departments and their
Leader.
16. To consider and maintain a Customer focus within and throughout the
production process.
17. To improve communication through the establishment and use of internal
customer networks.
18. To contribute to the success of subsequent shifts, by providing
information and
resources daily.
19. To have knowledge of the job responsibilities of Line Technician, Line
Operator,
and General Operator.
20. Perform any other assignment as directed by the Production Manager.

Requirements_Qualif: 1. High School diploma or equivalency diploma.
2. Three to five years experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. One year supervisory experience.
4. Good interpersonal skills.
5. Basic computer skills.
6. Display basic knowledge in mathematics and English.
7. Good recordkeeping skills.
8. Knowledge of production procedures and GMPs, safety, environmental and
quality control procedures.
