Qualifications:
01. Must be Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Member of the
American Academy of Actuaries with a minimum of
6-10 years life insurance experience.

07. Must be familiar with new product development.
08. Preferably has pre-need insurance experience.
09. Preferably familiar with product filings and statutory requirements.
Job Description:
01. Tactical responsibility for Actuarial Services of Forethought Life
Insurance Company, Arkansas Life Insurance Company, Forethought Life Assurance
Company and a Canadian branch. Work closely with the Chief Actuary to develop
and implement the strategy and Business Plan for Actuarial Services.
02. Apply actuarial concepts and techniques to the pre-need trust business of
Forethought Federal Savings Bank.
03. Insure the input for the monthly GAAP and statutory financial reporting
is prepared on an accurate and timely basis. This input includes but is not
limited to benefit reserves, incurred but not reported claims, credited
interest, deferred acquisition costs, and other assets and liabilities.
04. Supervise three actuaries on a day-to-day basis. In consultation with
the Chief Actuary, assign work, review work product, prepare performance
reviews and coach the staff.
05. Project financial values; frequent analyses requires design and
construction of complex spreadsheet models or modification of complex actuarial
software.
06. Perform annual mortality and lapse experience studies; incorporating new
products and changes.
07. Develop and maintain business models for cash flow testing and other
financial forecasts.
08. Perform ?ad hoc? analyses and projections of in force insurance policies
and new business.
09. Assist with product filings and regulatory matters.
10. Fully and clearly document results.
11. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
12. Assist in the development of new products.
13. Works with Investment Services Team to insure asset-liability management
is being effectively accomplished.
14. Works with product development team, implementation team, sales and
marketing teams to bring the best total solution to Forethought?s customers,
the funeral directors, and their customers.
15. Active participation in the Society of Actuaries is encouraged.

Services, Inc.
