Our client is seeking an experienced web developer/strategist with project
management experience for development and ongoing oversight of web strategy and
operations. This individual will serve as project manager of the development
team responsible for planning, developing, and deploying web sites. Works
closely with Business Intelligence and Enterprise Architecture managers to
coordinate direction and activities of enterprise web initiatives. Works
directly with Business Intelligence Manager and business users to determine
opportunities for new web content and manage web development projects. from
conceptualization to completion.
The ideal candidate will be a key player in helping to develop and implement an
enterprise Web strategy. The role requires someone who is current with
internet and web technologies and has the ability to recognize appropriate
technical solutions for our company?s growing web requirements. Heavy emphasis
will be placed on a solution that tightly integrates web applications and
interfaces with key operational and analytical data environments
This individual will oversee the duties of the Webmaster function and be
responsible for all development and operational activities of the corporate
websites (Internet, Extranet, Intranet) with specific attention aimed at
website design, development and maintenance. This will be a ?hands-on?
position requiring a blend of strong technical leadership and hands on
development skills. In this role, you will work as the liaison between IT and
other departments across the enterprise and be the primary IT point of contact
concerning all web functions. Specific responsibilities include (80%):
Manages day to day operations of all corporate web sites and web applications
(does not include web hosting)
Ensures all web issues and problems are addressed in a timely manner
Analyzes user needs and business opportunities and develops functional
specifications for custom software and/or modification of packaged software
applications
Manages web design and development projects from conceptualization to
completion
Designs, develops, and implements web pages and on-line applications as needed.
Reviews, suggests, and implements improvements for all areas of the internal
and external websites
Recommends the appropriate hardware and software is being utilized within a
best practice web architecture
Establishes and enforces enterprise change management and web application
support & governance standards
Integrates all web applications thru a LDAP or ?single sign on? security model
Mentors other web team members and facilitates cross-training across the team
Experience
This position requires a senior level individual with proven capacity to move
into higher levels of responsibility in the Business Intelligence area.
Location: Columbus OH
Requirements_Qualif: A minimum of three (3) years of web management and
application design/modification experience required. At least two (2) years of
web development background required with experience in JAVA preferred.
Experience with designing and implementing web solutions in large corporate
environments
Experience with HTML, ASP, JSP, Macromedia Flash and Director, Dreamweaver,
ColdFusion, FTP Methods, Adobe Acrobat, Java Script, J2EE, PERL, XML, XSTL,
PHP, VB Script, .Net,
Database experience should include Microsoft Access, SQL Server, MYSQL, Oracle;
Candidate should have suffice knowledge of SQL to support several upcoming
database and web integration initiatives
Experience working with Windows and NT platforms, Unix, and Linux
Experience with Apache and IIS; Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers
Experience with content management tools, firewall and security
software/hardware
Knowledge and experience using web site monitoring software
Experience working with packaged portal software, i.e. Plumtree, Broadvision,
ATG, IBM, Oracle
Integration experience with document management and workflow applications, i.e.
OnBase or Documentum a huge plus
Knowledge of Marketing/CRM, Data Warehouse, and Business Intelligence
experience is highly preferred
Retail Experience desirable
Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional project thru entire
development life cycle
Experience working with iterative software development methodologies
Education
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field (Masters degree a
plus)
