      Description:   
      Will interface a variety of small signal inputs to a digital environment 
in a multi-node network system for feedback and control. Proficiency with "C" 
and assembly language required. Experience with CAN network development a plus. 
Duties/Responsibilities: Development of a family of laser receivers for machine 
control applications with primary responsibility for embedded software. These 
receivers will range from battery operation to machine powered CAN network 
based and a thorough understanding of hardware at the component level will be 
required for success. Candidate will work in a cross-functional team 
environment that has responsibility for product development, field-testing, 
qualification, production, and sustaining engineering phases. Provide component 
and system level software test and qualification for joint venture developments 
including production test fixtures. Anticipated travel requirements are less 
than 5% 
      Requirements:   
      Five years experience in embedded system hardware and software design for 
control system applications. Must have 4-year Electrical/ software engineering 
degree.
