ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN III
 
Location:  Cincinnati, OH 45245
 
THE COMPANY
KDI Precision Products, a division of L-3 Communications Corporation,
designs and manufactures precision timing and safety devices for
armament systems for the Department of Defense. The plant is located at
3975 McMann Road, Cincinnati, OH 45245.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Perform production or prototype disassembly and assembly operations of
mechanical, electro-mechanical  and/or electronic devices.  This work
may involve soldering and bonding techniques and will be accomplished
under supervision of a Senior Technician, Engineering Aide and/or
Engineer.  
Assist with test programs and record test data under supervision.
Perform test and quality assurance operations requiring use of test
equipment (micrometers, volt/amp meters, etc.) in accordance with verbal
instructions and written specifications.  Record results in accordance
with verbal and written instructions.  Assist Technicians, Engineering
Aides and Engineers as directed.   Provide assistance to products
development and manufacturing.  
 
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5+ years experience related to testing and troubleshooting
electronic circuits.  This experience must include use of manual and
automated test equipment (volt-amp meters, oscilloscopes, signal test
generators, etc).  Experience with electronic assembly and disassembly
very desirable.  Thorough knowledge of electronic components.  Working
knowledge (formal training or practical experience) of engineering
drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic and hydraulic and pneumatic
principles.  Must be familiar the use of spectrum analyzers, power
meters and signal generators.  Must currently possess a U.S. Government
security clearance, or be eligible to pass background check to obtain
interim and final security clearances.  Two year Associate Degree in
Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
