[jsfg_cinti] Director of Business Development (Part-time commission-based position)

Director of Business Development Express Cincinnati
 (Part-time commission-based position)
We at Express are looking for an additional person to supplement and
expand our marketing efforts and serve as our liaison with the corporate
and philanthropic world. While fundamentally a sales position, this is
somewhat more strategic and big picture in nature. This individual would
help client organizations bring more visibility to their philanthropic
efforts and give them a direct voice to the public via Express by virtue of
shared initiatives, partnerships and sponsorships. The goal is to establish
relationships with the business and corporate community that would
add stable sources of revenue, supplementing the publication¹s current
reliance on advertisements from small local retailers and service providers.
This individual would also be responsible for expanding awareness
and distribution of Express.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a track record of sales or business
development success, but they must also be familiar with and understand the
world of Express: non-profits, boards, the arts, fund-raising, public
relations, and all the indigenous peculiarities that are involved in this
special environment. This is a key component of what we need for this
 position to succeed.

This arrangement is intended to be a part-time endeavor, at least at the
beginning. Essentially, the sky¹s the limit, but it will begin as
commission-only, with certain expenses covered, top-notch marketing
materials provided, etc. As a result, this ideal person will either be
looking for employment, have recently taken a an early retirement package,
or will have an existing employment or business situation that allows
her/him the freedom to weave Express business seamlessly into their daily
workflow, with no conflict of interest.

This position, by its nature, will require a reasonable level of evening
engagements to attend client functions and events. Family and other work
parameters should be flexible to accommodate some evening involvement.

We ask your assistance in finding the ideal person to work with us. Please
feel free to pass this email on to friends, colleaguesanyone you think
might have some insight or connections that might help. We are aware that
we
are looking for a special set of circumstances and a unique person for this
position. We appreciate any help you can provide.

Most sincerely,

Thom & Elizabeth Mariner
