> PRIMARY FUNCTION:
> Assist in the support of the corporate data warehouse infrastructure.
Provide end-user support in use of the standard database reporting and
analysis tool set.  Ensure the quality of the existing data warehouse.
Involved in the development and maintenance of all new and existing
management reports.
> ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
> 1. Develop daily, weekly and monthly MIS to provide product areas the
information to evaluate changing risk in each business
> 2. Work with department heads and independently to achieve ultimate
efficiency in operations.
> 3. For existing data, ensure that this is properly defined to agreed
standards, is represented in the corporate data dictionary, and the process
for its maintenance in the corporate data warehouse is defined.
> 4. For new data, also establish the definition of the data in liaison with
the business owner, and work with the information delivery group to
establish the changes needed to the data model to accommodate the new data.
> 5. Participate in all phases of system testing.
> 6. Identify and resolve any reporting issues that may be a result of data
integrity or data warehouse structure.
> 7. Investigate business requirements for small to medium sized projects as
directed and determine the data elements needed to meet these requirements.
> EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
> 1. Bachelor's degree in MIS or computer science preferred.  Background in
statistics, quantitative analysis or finance desired.
> 2. Four years of MIS or finance experience.
> 3. Advanced knowledge of data and databases, preferably including
relational data modeling and dimensional data modeling.
> 4. Experience with various software packages for use in data management,
statistical analysis, and reporting is required.  Included are MS Access,
SAS, Oracle, etc
> 5. Personal effectiveness; demonstrates adaptability, a high level of
commitment and stress tolerance, is a logical thinker.
> 6. Experience with generating reports with Business Objects.
