Position: Customer Service Specialist
Position Highlights: Primary responsibilities include answering in-bound
customer calls, researching and recommending product , order entry,
shipping coordination, maintaining customer and vendor databases, and
providing support for sales reps and technicians in the field.
Excellent computer skills (MS Office, etc.) are required (a knowledge of
Peachtree Accounting software a plus.) Additional duties may include but
are not limited to: laser cartridge recycling program management,
outbound phone calls, providing customer/vendor reports for management
or customer review, and other duties as assigned by management.
Individuals must have good written and communication skills with a
courteous attitude. A probationary period is in effect for the 1st 90
days of employment with Spectrum.
Job Specifications: High School graduate, college preferred. One year
relevant experience - excellent communication & negotiation skills -
demonstrated problem solving & organization skills - ability to work
independently & under time constraints - customer service orientation

Eligibility for these benefits are based on tenure, (e.g. medical 90
days, Simple 2 yrs.+) the terms & benefits may vary pending current
provider programs. Spectrum does not provide short-term disability or
sick days.
Vacation & paid holidays: vacation; 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2
yrs., 3 weeks after 5 yrs. Paid 6 traditional federal holidays: Memorial
Day, 4th July, etc. (Note: unscheduled time off the day before or after
a paid holiday forfeits holiday pay)
Hours: 8:30 to 5:30 M -F. 1 hour for lunch. Employees are required to
call Service Dispatch (cell phones) before 7:45 AM if they are calling
in for an unscheduled absence day (e.g. personal issue).
Training: Training is provided by Spectrum: Classroom, Internet & OJT
are all used. Vendor support from HP, Lexmark & Xerox, et al, is also
offered where applicable.
