Job Background:   Experience:5 + years experience with Unix and Linux.
Microsoft server technologies experience a plus.                Skills:
1. Knowledge of Operating Systems including Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX.
2. Knowledge of network services: DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, NTP, SSH, Samba
3. Knowledge of back-up & recovery,
4. Knowledge of server and network monitoring tools such as Nagios.
5. Knowledge of LDAP directory services.
6. Knowledge of shell scripting, and Perl programming.
7. Customer service oriented.
8. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
9. Strong attention to detail.
10. Strong problem solving skills.
11. Excellent organizational skills.
12. Ability to manage multiple tasks.
13. Ability to meet deadlines.
14. Knowledge of Microsoft server technologies.
15. Knowledge of Network and OS security a plus.
16. Knowledge of EMC disk storage and tools (i.e. Powerpath) a plus.
17. Knowledge of HP LVM/Disk Mirror and SUN Disksuite a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:    Operates independently to: Install and,
upgrade, and manage Linux and Unix hardware and software (Including: Redhat
Linux 7.3-9 and Advanced Server, HP-UX, SUN Solari2. s)·
Ensure security integrity of the OS and hardware.·   Ensure compliance with
software license agreements.·   Control and monitor user access to the
systems.·   Monitor and optimize the performance of the servers.·   Enforce
Unix Server Administration standards, policies and guidelines and develop
and implement them as the needs are identified.·
Management of shared web hosting servers.·   Management of Corporate common
network services, i.e. DNS and DHCP services.
Associated Responsibilities:   Backup and recovery of OS and application
information. (knowledge of Veritas).§Allocating system storage and planning
future storage requirements for the applications. Operational support of
Linux and Unix environment.
Education:   Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or
Information Systems (or equivalent experience).

From:   8:00 AM
To:   5:00 PM
