[jsfg_cinti] Console Operator - 3rd Shift

Kforce Professional Staffing is currently seeking a Console Operator for
3rd shift at our client's site in Dayton, Ohio.  This role will be
performing any or all duties of the Console Operator and understanding
the work handled by each shift in case staffing or schedules change.
 

The successful candidate will have at least two years of Console
Operator experience, or the equivalent; know and understand computer
fundamentals and concepts (CPU, processor, tape channels, disk,
production vs. test, online vs. batch, job flows and status, initiators,
spool, JCL, etc.).  In addition, the candidate will understand various
types of datasets and how they are used (sequential, VSAM, PDS, perm,
work, test).  Other duties include, but are not limited to:

 

1.      Understand various types of libraries and how they are used
(load libraries, JCL libraries, control libraries, procedure libraries).
Understand the ISPF dataset and library utilities (or similar products)
to compress, print, rename, browse, edit, catalog, uncatalog, delete,
move and copy datasets.

2.      Have an appreciation of the confidential nature of Company
information encountered and handle it accordingly; maintain and adhere
to software security policies; maintain restricted access to the
computer room, its equipment and supplies.
