POSITION TITLE:   Senior Process Technician

TARGET WAGES: $31,809-$47,713        Non-exempt

HOURS:  Vary and include 2nd shift



RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Primary responsibility is for operating a film extrusion line
developing products at the Technical Center with or without Extrusion Team
Leader assistance.

2.       Assist Pilot Plant Supervisor, Extrusion Team Leader, and Research
Associates in planning and carrying out project work which will involve new
materials, new processes and other innovations.

3.       Ensure the precision and accuracy of the process information
generated in the course of new material and new product development.

4.       Operate a fork life to transport raw materials and finished
product.

5.       Assist in operation of film modification, adhesive lamination and
pilot production using other equipment.

6.       Assist with activities such as shipping, receiving, and
housekeeping.



REQUIREMENTS:

·         Minimum high school education, two-year technical degree
preferred.  Position will require basic math skills (basic calculations
including percentages, conversions metric/English, and fractions), reading
comprehension and decision-making skills.

·         Minimum of three years experience in machinery operation,
preferred in a production and R & D environments.  Good understanding of how
to operate a complex, multi-step machine.  Demonstrated ability to monitor a
process and document that process.  Demonstrated ability to conduct project
work with minimal supervision and input.

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as project plans,
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and project plans.  Must be
able to document and communicate clearly ideas and concepts.

·         Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the
employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms,
climb or balance and stoop or kneel.  The employee is occasionally required
to lift or move up to 50 pounds.  While performing the duties of this job,
the employee will be exposed to high temperature materials and the work
environment may include extreme heat. The employee may be exposed to moving
mechanical parts, electrical shock and elevated places. The noise level is
moderate and may require hearing protection. Eye protection will be required
in certain aspects of the job.
