Sales Consultant - Full Time

 

Primary Duties

 

*       Must meet expectations with respect to sales goals. 
*       Effectively multi-tasks to achieve specific measurable goals
toward productivity and accuracy. 
*       Contact with Residential customers involving billing, bill
payment, toll inquiries, requests for new or changed service and
associated rates, or miscellaneous information. 
*       Focus primarily on residential account management. 
*       Identifies customer needs and offers solutions via products
offered by the company. 
*       Negotiates service commitment with customer based on available
facilities and/or technicians. Secures facilities when necessary and
follows up with customer to assure order completion and satisfaction. 
*       Accesses information systems as needed to generate orders,
resolve line and number assignment or translation issues, dispatch
technicians or adjust billing. 
*       Customer contact may be via telephone, video conferencing,
E-Mail or in person on company premise or customer premise.   
*       May be required to cross train others.

 


Experience / Background


 

*       Demonstrated success in customer contact position. 
*       Exhibits a high level of leadership and problem solving skills. 
*       Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary. 
*       Job-related experience or college-level credit hours in
marketing, sales or retail curriculum is beneficial. 
*       Advanced knowledge of personal computers and internet is highly
advantageous.

 


Prerequisites


 

*       Sales Consultant/Sr. Sales Representative Simulation Test 
*       Demonstrated success in a sales and call center environment. 
*       Successful completion of classroom training required. 
*       Satisfactory performance rating. 
*       Satisfactory attendance record in last twelve months.

 


Work Environment


 

*       Work location: Norwood 
*       Dress is business casual as required; may be requested to dress
in business attire. 
*       Residential Sales Center hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am -
7:00pm and Saturday, 7:30am - 5:00pm 
*       Overtime is required on a routine basis. 
*       All tours are subject to change as required by the needs of the
business. 
*       Work at desk using telephone and computer terminals for long
periods of time. 
*       May share room with others doing similar type of work. 
*       Works independently with minimal supervision. 
*       Subject to measurements relating to performance and accuracy by
ongoing supervisory observations.
