POSITION TITLE: Vehicle Operator II

DIVISION: Transportation

HOURS/WORK YEAR: Substitute

SALARY RANGE: $13.12 per hour

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Operates vehicles to transport participants to and from

agency facilities, workshops, and field trips; operates wheelchair lift to 
assist participants on and

off the vehicles; ensures participants seat belts are fastened, wheelchair 
lockdowns are secure,

and required wheelchair shoulder straps are in place. Performs regular required 
safety and

maintenance checks on assigned vehicle (e.g., checks tires, signals, lights, 
oil, power steering,

radiator and transmission fluid level, heater, defroster, wipers, etc.); 
reports repairs needed for

required maintenance; visually inspects vehicles to ensure proper operation of 
safety

equipment; reports needs for bus maintenance and repair to mechanic or 
supervisor on

appropriate form. Assigns participants to seats, takes attendance, and 
maintains discipline;

keeps vehicle neat and clean; administers necessary first aid; participates in 
various program

meetings as required (e.g., IHP, IEP, behavior management and/or modification, 
etc.).

Prepares and maintains required records and reports (e.g., bus roster sheets, 
fuel consumption

records, absence reports, etc.); maintains list of passengers with emergency 
information

necessary on each participant; maintains current route descriptions. Attends 
regular and

special meetings related to position as required. Lifts, positions, and moves 
participants in a

safe manner, according to in-service training, using proper lifting techniques. 
Promotes and

implements the mandates of the Warren County Board of MR/DD in a professional, 
positive,

and efficient manner. Maintains required licenses and certificates. 
Demonstrates regular and

predictable attendance. Develops and demonstrates knowledge of current 
developments in field

to provide most beneficial client care. Performs other related duties as

POSITION TITLE: Adult Service Provider

DIVISION: Adult Services

HOURS/WORK YEAR: 8 hours/12 months

SALARY RANGE: $23,316.80

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Monitors clients during assigned periods; Provides training,

supervision, and habilitation services to clients in various basic skill areas 
(e.g., mobility, selfhelp,

emotional, communication, motor, functional academic, daily living, etc.); 
provides training

and supervision in production skills and simulated training in accordance with 
Individual Service

Plans (ISP); utilizes systematic training methods and procedures to implement 
ISP objectives;

monitors clients' development during training as outlined by individual plans; 
maintains

atmosphere of effective behavior and encouragement in training programs; works 
in cooperation

with other staff to implement behavior support plans. Attends to physical needs 
of clients as

necessary (i.e., assists with feeding, toileting, changing soiled clothes, 
mobility, illness, etc.); lifts

up to forty (40) pounds, positions, and moves clients in a safe manner, 
according to in-service

training, using proper lifting techniques. Assists clients in and out of 
vehicles, and in and out of

work area. Performs additional services/projects to assist with training in 
various skill areas

(i.e., production, communication, mobility, etc.); provides and adapts 
materials and equipment;

assists with materials and equipment use. Performs daily documentation of 
client progress;

participates in staffing and development of ISP's for clients; assists in 
establishing goals and

setting up programs to accomplish objectives; prepares plans for instructional 
activity, obtains

necessary materials and equipment for training; accurately documents 
participant time sheets;

completes seizure, illness, accident, and behavior incident reports as 
required. Works

cooperatively with other staff, parents, caseworkers, medical personnel, 
specialists, etc. to

achieve client goals and programming as identified by ISP; facilitates 
communication with

clients through use of sign language, picture communication, etc. Determines 
need to call (and

calls) nurse or program manager to assist clients as necessary. Operates County 
vehicle to

transport clients to community events, recreational activities, work sites, 
appointments, etc.

Promotes and implements the mandates and goals of the Warren County Board of 
MRDD in a

professional, positive, and efficient manner. Maintains required licenses and 
certificates.

Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Develops and demonstrates 
knowledge ofOne Stop

current developments in field to provide most beneficial client care. Performs 
other related

duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. ODMR/DD Adult

Services Registration (may be acquired after employment). Must pass a medical 
fitness for duty

examination including TB and chemical dependency test; must pass criminal 
background check

including HR Profile and BCI; valid Ohio driver's license with less than six 
(6) points on BMV

report; must complete all Public School Works employee training as per Employee 
Safety

Training Guide (may be acquired after employment).

 

 

MANAGING DIRECTOR, HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAMS

 

CCAO seeks an energetic, innovative, highly organized, knowledgeable and 
self-motivated individual to manage and run a health insurance pool.  

 

Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and five years experience in a management 
capacity. Effective written and oral communication skills are required. 
Experience with non-profit associations, county, state, or city government is 
preferred. Preferred candidate will have working experience in the health 
insurance industry.  Position requires a strong understanding of self-funded 
insurance management, and an ability to maintain effective, strong working 
relationships with CCAO staff and management, board members, and customers.

not-for-profit insurance pooling and a commitment to the success of such

DIRECTOR OF SANITARY ENGINEERING

 

The Board of Greene County Commissioners seeks a Director of Sanitary 
Engineering.  This is an unclassified, fiduciary position that directs and 
supervises a staff of 114 employees.  Position requires experience in 
administration and enforcement of laws, codes and regulations governing water & 
wastewater systems throughout the county; supervision and administration; 
budget and fiscal management; staff development; and public relations.

 

The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Public 
Administration, or a related field (Master of Public Administration preferred), 
with seven years of progressively responsible managerial experience, including 
two years of senior management, or an equivalent combination of education and 
experience, and a valid Ohio driver's license.  Current Principles & Practice 
of Engineering (PE) registration in Ohio preferred.

BRIDGE ENGINEER

 

The Montgomery County Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, 
operation, and maintenance of over 500 bridges, ranging from box culverts and 
single-span slabs to multi-span girder and arch bridges.  The county Bridge 
Engineer will be directly responsible for bridge replacement and rehabilitation 
programming, bridge inspection approvals, load rating calculations, overload 
permits, technical guidance and contract administration for consultant-designed 
bridges, and supervision of in-house bridge design and plan production efforts. 
 The successful candidate will provide structure reviews for other public and 
private infrastructure improvement projects, prepare applications to secure 
outside bridge program funding, pursue innovative bridge technologies, and 
support county staff in bridge maintenance operations.

 

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university; minimum 
10 years experience in bridge design or management; PE and ODOT Level 2 bridge 
prequalification (or equivalent) required; able to work without supervision; 
direct technical, junior professional, and administrative staff; and complete 
responsibilities on schedule; must read, write, and speak fluent English and 
possess valid Ohio driver's license; and Master's degree and knowledge of 
AutoCAD or Microstation preferred
