[jsfg_cinti] Be cautiious

Dear JSFGers;
There have been reports of individuals unknown and un-vetted by our
organization, cold calling members offering placement services for fee. This
person appears to be harvesting contact information from our mini-resume
site. The organization strongly urges our members to:

1. Know that, unlike JSFG authorized speakers and workshop presenters, the
organization has no vetting power over those who unsolicited pull member
information from our website.

2. We have several recruiters who have said during our meetings not to
pay for placement services. To a person they said to work your own process
and deal only with recruiters that are working for a company to "find"
talent (but understand that the recruiter is working for the company, not
committed to place you). Each of the professionals offering this suggestion
have had a long term relationships with JSFG and have demonstrated their
actions as having the best interests of JSFG and its members at heart.

3. Be certain before entering into any contract that you understand what
services will be provided, how success will be measured, and that you
understand any risk that you might be assuming.

Caveat Emptor - Let The Buyer Beware.

Be Well,
 -Bob
