Cash Manager

 

This position is responsible for ensuring the FHLBank maintains a
positive cash position within its Federal Reserve clearing account
through intra-day cash management, including forecasting intra- and
inter-day cash position.  Candidate will also be responsible for
additional trading room responsibilities including securities
settlements.

 

Candidates must possess knowledge of banking or finance at a level
normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree with
concentration in finance, accounting, and statistics; 2 to 3 years of
related work experience; proficiency in the use of personal computer and
micro-computer.  Proficient knowledge of Excel and knowledge of and
ability to use Microsoft Word required; familiarity with Access software
and Web based intelligence applications preferred.  Knowledge of
overnight Federal funds, cash management and money market instruments,
including CDs, BAs, commercial paper and Bank Notes is beneficial.
Knowledge of interest rate swaps and long term fixed income securities
would also be beneficial.  Applicants must possess effective
interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills.

 

Normal working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from
9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  This position requires flexibility to meet
multiple daily deadlines.  Candidates must be able to pay close
attention to detail, make decisions and formulate an immediate plan of
action to avoid monetary loss to the organization.
