If you go and sit through the presentation and they
show you a video which purports to be a TV documentary
(or which the salesman claims or hints is a TV
documentary), ask him what network it was shown on,
what station, what date, and who produced it.  Then
look at the end for the credits to see what it says
there (such as "Produced by NBC News", etc.).  I went
to one of these presentations a couple of years ago
and they guy showed me one, and it looked to me like a
custom-produced TV-informercial - not exactly an
impartial source of information.  And I did not think
at the time to ask those questions.  (FYI I did not
sign up for their program.)
