Accountant - Campbell County Public Library
Under the general direction of the Library Director, the Accountant
performs specialized tasks related to office financial management
including payment of bills, tracking of receipts and invoices, and
general office filing.  The Accountant interacts with the public and
other staff.

 

The Library expects that all employees observe and develop our core

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process invoices, write and mail checks, balance library accounts.

Verify income receipts, make bank deposits as necessary.

Maintain records of fixed assets.

Prepare financial statements for audit.

Prepare monthly financial reports for the Board.

Update annual inventory of the Library's furnishings and equipment.

Monitor expenditures on Library issued credit cards to staff.

Monitor expense allocations and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

Prepare monthly financial reports for Library departments.

Assist the Director in planning and policy setting.

Process payroll in the absence of the Human Resources Manger as
necessary.

Serve on committees as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or bachelor's degree with significant
related work experience.

Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel.

Payroll and quarterly tax experience.

Strong reconciliation experience.

Knowledge of standard accounting principles including accounts payable,
month end and year- 

                end analysis.

Significant experience and confidence with standard office products and
computer programs.

Successful candidate will become a public notary.

effectively.  Working extensive hours at the computer screen.  Ability

needed.
