ordered a new headset from Amazon, so I'd better go offer a sacrifice to

I am no longer allowed to add names to the email list – I assume that is to stop other, nefarious list users banging in names without users permission.
All you need do Peter is go to //www.freelists.org/list/jhb
Add your new email address and select Subscribe.
I should then get an email to approve your request and can set the rest up.
I’ve just finished a battle with Amazon today so I’m definitely in GOM mode. I ordered two gift vouchers for Christmas presents and when they arrived someone had scratched the foil off the redeem code. A quick check showed that the cards had already been redeemed before delivery. Seems a simple matter to explain to Amazon but it became a headache and, finally, they offered to refund the amount. They don’t seem at all concerned about tracking the stolen money even though they know who redeemed the cards. What a daft world!

I saw this msg from Frank some time ago, but have only just remembered I wanted to do the same. It will be slightly more convenient too, as i have that address on my phone, and we seem to use our phones for everything except making tea these days!

That puzzled me so I had a look at the Freelists page for JHB and your name
is missing from it Tom. In fact anyone with a BTInternet email address seems
to be missing. I know these "broke" some time ago and a handful of people in
JHB were affected, but I was never told that the addresses had been taken
from the system.
I can't invite you to join again because they closed that option a few years
back to stop people being spammed to join lists. To join now go to the
Freelists site https://www.freelists.org/ and click the Find and Join tab.
This will open a search so just type in JHB here.
You should then see two lists, one for JHB_airlines (now disabled) and one
for JHB (a closed list).
Click on JHB. Enter your email address and choose Subscribe in the action.
That should bring you back into the group.
The above page is useful for everyone as you can also use it to unsubscribe
from a list, or to set vacation mode if you are going away and want posts
suspended..
