My homepage Benjamin is just www.yahoo.com and at the time just was douing a
Harry Potter search and no list numbers appeared

Jim, where were the search pages you couldn't hear the numbers on then?
If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly find such a page and
post the first part of the link for that page?
e.g. http://uk.search.yahoo.com
or http://search.yahoo.com
or http://fr.search.yahoo.com
The search engine will return results tailored to the locality, so it
would be good to get the engine in your locality fixed.
