Go to the start menu then from there press d to go into documents.
If I'm not mistaken, this is when you're getting the unwanted document rather
than My Documents.
Use your up and down arrow keys to see if you can locate my documents in the
list.
Often Documents is the only item starting with the letter d on the start menu.
People use the left windows key to go to the start menu, then press d. If
Documents is the only item on the start menu beginning with the letter d it
opens without any further action on the user's part and focus is brought to the
first item of the documents list. Usually, My Documents is first on that list
so Jaws says "My Documents,"
It will be important to know if My Documents is still in your documents list or
if it is gone altogether from there.
Hope this helps,
Kelly

Subject: word document blocking...
What I thought a few weeks ago was a document in my start menue, was
erroneous. It is a word document that appears everytime I press D for
documents. The name of the document is announced and if I press enter on it I
don't get "my documents" but that document. How can I get it out of there so
that I can access "My documents"? Thanks, Judith
