Jaws will work with Media Center Edition, but, you must have the XP pro
version of Jaws, or run it in demo mode. We run a demo on the computer
here that has it, because it isn't one I use hardly ever, and if I do I
don't need to have Jaws running for very long at a time at this point.

If a screen reader categorically doesn't work on a particular edition of
Windows XP, then this is certainly not good. What happens if a blind
person wants to take advantage of the home theater and other
enhancements to the Media Center? Even more importantly, what if a
blind person is a consultant who needs to be able to troubleshoot such a
system? I hope we are able to find out, exactly, what the pitfalls are
when trying to use JAWS with Media Center Edition, and whether or not
there are any work-arounds.
