RE: windows messenger and JFW 4.51

Yes, you can remove the Windows Messenger from XP by going to Control Panel,
Add/Remove Programs. Click on the Add/Remove Windows Components button and
follow the wizard. You will need to uncheck the Windows Messenger from the
list and proceed to finish the wizard. This should remove Windows Messenger
from your computer.

Rebecca, Yes MSN is free. You can't uninstall Windows messenger
unfortunately, it's part of windows and can't be removed. Cheers. Alex

Hmmm, wonder would happen if I just deinstalled it and went with MSN? Is MSN
free?

It's just an easy way to disable and enable your Windows Messenger! =
Windows Messenger is the one that spammers and pop ups can access your PC!!!

ML

Subject: windows messenger and JFW 4.51

Hi folks. I am using Windows Messenger, and it is a bit too social for = =3D
my taste. It starts itself and signs me into MSN whenever Windows starts. =
=3D We have DSL so our connection is always on.=3D20

I have unchecked the box that says "sign me in automatically" and have = =3D
also unchecked the box that says "start windows messenger when windows = =3D
starts". So how can I make this program stop starting? The thing that =
really =3D annoys me is that I can't see that it's running and don't know
that = it is until someone im's me.=3D20

I am using JFW 4.51 on a windows xp home machine.=3D20

Any help will be greatly appreciated.=3D20
