well, I tried to play a large one it was a mp3 of the Harry Potter Half-Blood
Prince book and it gave me an error message regarding an incorrect class or
something. I did not have a clue nor did I look it up. Have you ever heard of
such a thing?

Yes, Windows Media Player plays mp3's, it depends on whether the file is good
or not. Also depends on your volume settings.
