Re: windows explorer

I know how to do that.  I have all the details showing that I want.  I 
wasn't the one who asked the question.  it's all solved.  There were already 
a lot of messages and replies, and now the person is okay.  thank you 
anyway, though.

I tried this, even though I don't have a problem in this, actually, because
my file infomration is displayed with the filename, and I can make it all
speak by pressing Insert 8, say line.  But it sounded like a neat trick to
know.

However, if I am on a filename in the list files pane of Windows Explorer
and do as you say, what Jaws speaks is the date the file was last modified,
not its size in bytes.  Any idea why?

If you use jfw 6.0 and up, pressing control insert 4 on numbers row will
give you file size. Focus on the file and press hotkey to get results.

The most reliable way of finding file size that I know of is the way that I
described. Yes, it does require you to use the Jaws cursor. Sorry about
that. But really it's rare that I feel the need to investigate the
information to that extreme. Things were sure different back in the DOS
days, but enough said about that.
