Hi, what theme is your wife's desktop using? I'm thinking the baseball theme might have something to do with the JAWS repeats.

Hi all. I have another strange problem with my home PC. When I am
sending an email and I back the cursor up onto a letter I have previously
typed, JAWS starts repeating the letter the cursor is on over and over.
So, for example, if I backed onto an h, JAWS would say h h h h h h h h h h
h h, or if it were an i, JAWS would say i i i i ii i i i i i i. Here are
the things I have done already:
I have downloaded the lateST JAWS 8 build (2173U) from the FS web site.
. I have run a repair on the files.
. My screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels.
. My theme is a baseball theme with 256 colors.
. I am running Outlook Express, but I can't find the version, JAWS is
silent when I do control-JAWS-V to get the version.

One thing I find quite curious is that when I launch Outlook Express from
my wife's desktop, I don't get the problem and I can't figure out what's
different between my desktop and hers.

Also, when I go into a search and I type the partial filename and back up
over one of those letters, I get the repetition problem. It sure would be
nice to straighten this out!

Thank you in advance.
