Yah, I remember in the late nineties I was trying to get the focus out of a footer which would move the curser a half an inch. My boss came in and asked what I was doing. I stated, trying to move the cursor a half an inch using the keyboard; this is what you pay me for. It wasn't so easy in those days of simply changing the view back to print or normal. You can then also press the down arrow and create a footer. Auto text has the page number x of y so your numbers show as say page 1 of 2. If you add more pages, your footer will adjust accordingly. And I wasn't comparing anything to the toolbar. I can't see the toolbar, so that isn't what I was comparing anything to. but okay, I'll remember I can just change the view if my C key happens to stick... <grin> ----- Original Message ----- From: "Francis Daniels" <fdaniels@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2005 8:12 PM Subject: Re: want help with headers in Word 2000 Hi Daniel, Yup, you can do Alt C, but I found you can save your work in the header and exit the header edit area by going to change the view to normal. I found it by accident, and it's a lot easier than working with the toolbar. However, the nice thing about Windows is that there is no one way to get the job done.
