Thank you for that. I'd have thought most would want to turn user accounts off? Wouldn't that stop it from asking me every time I do anything?

Hi there,
There are couple tutorials, including one produced by freedom scientific, Rick Harmon and myself about using Vista. You need to go to Start/Control Panel/Switch to Classic view/Personalization/Display in order to get to Display Settings. For User Acount Control (UAC), you'll need to go to User Accounts and change it there. It doesn't really matter if you turn that on or off, but many people suggest that you turn it on.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: vista, surprise!

Well, I just got my laptop. And, I finally remembered why I did not want to go for vista. Yes, its going to take quit a long time to get use to not only the computer instead of my computer, but so so many other things. I felt lost. I mean, clueless. I know its going to take so much time to not only get use to it, but just to learn it.

I wonder, does anyone have any suggestions on how to set up the display settings? I didn't even find a display folder. but I didn't see any thing close to the settings I've seen in xp pro.

also, how about the user settings? can I hut that off? is that safe to do?

Thank you all for understanding,

Julian
