As Chris pointed out (below), NOD32 is very accessible and updates come automatically; in fact, they come almost daily. You can also set it to do a scan daily, weekly or whatever, so I set mine to scan daily at 3 o'clock in the morning. One thing Chris didn't mention is that you can download a 30-day trial version of the program to see if you like it.

Hi. We can't forget my favorite of all time, Nod 32. It's probably one of the most screen-reader-friendly antivirus programs out there today. Once you get past the nonstandard ways in which you get into the dialogues to change things, it is easy, and it just works with almost no intervention from you. I like that. Just keep my system updated and let me do my work. Nod 32 does that

It now seems to make a sound when ever it displays it's notification screen, and then I use the JAWS cursor to find the required buttons to do whatever I need to do. The good thing with Windows Vista is that you can Alt + Tab to the desktop and the Mcafee notification screen stays on so using the JAWS cursor to find where to click is relatively easy.

I have AVG aunty virus and it seems to work real well with Jaws. It updates its self about evary 2-3 days and after it has updated its self, it scans my computer.
