Hello, It depends what your use to. I love it because what it does or at least it does seem to me is that it makes it more like the standard file menu structure like in word 2003. And I love it. Honestly I would be lost with out it! I think you should experiment with it. Turn it on, try it out, and if it doesn't work out for you then all you need do is turn them off again and back where you started.
Hope that helps you out a bit. Daniel -------------------------------------------------- From: "Kirsten Edmondson" <kirsten.edmondson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, November 12, 2010 10:07 PM To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: RE: virtual ribbons-was-Installing Jaws 12-my authorisation number
Thanks all - it worked fine! At the moment I have the virtual ribbons off - would you recommend I turn them on? I have MS2007 And am used to the way it worked in j11, would putting on virtual ribbons just confuse me? -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of George B Sent: 12 November 2010 20:42 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Installing Jaws 12-my authorisation number if you have jaws 11 on your machine then just follow the prompts foractivatting and where it says to enter your access code it should already bein there.-----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kirsten Edmondson Sent: Friday, November 12, 2010 12:17 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Installing Jaws 12-my authorisation number I don't have 7, on here but I do have 11 - might this still work for putting in the code? I don't want to end up in 40 min mode for the next week! -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Farfar Carlson Sent: 12 November 2010 20:11 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Installing Jaws 12-my authorisation number It is a 20-character code. If you install JAWS 12 to a computer with JAWS 7 already installed, the edit field for the code should auto-populate with the code, since it's in your registry. If/when it does, copy and paste it to a text file somewhere where you can find it later, should you ever need to start from scratch. Alternative is to call Freedom Scientific and give them your JAWS serial number, and they should be able to look up your 20-character code and give over the phone. I have found it on the cd for 7.0, but it's in grade 0 or something and is spread over 2 lines so it's very hard to decipher! Is there anywhere else to find it - IE from the jaws about options and then copy and paste it into word? Otherwise, what should it look like - how many numbers and what other symbols. I know it's in print, but there's no one round to read it to me - and it really annoys me that I can't do it myself. I don't want to mess it up, otherwise I might mess up the whole installation! In anticipation of a solution! Kirsten.
