narrator and video intercept



using nnarrator  to reset the video intercept

narrator is not jaws

its, slower and  more garbled

so, give it more time when you execute a command

remember, give it more time when you execute a command





1press the windows key and the letter u, at the same time

wait for it to load

2press the windows key, the start menu

3press p, for programs

4press the letter j, for the most current version of jaws on computer

5press right arrow

6press down arrow, to tools sub menu

7press right arrow then down arrow to video intercept manager and press 
enter

8tab to one of three radio buttons

9down arrow to install video intercept radio button

10tab to execute press the spacebar to activate it

11restart your computer

12windows key, then the letter u, for shut down then the letter r for 
restart



if successful

when your  computer restarts

calm down calm down wait for every thing to load

jaws and narrator will both be talking

to kill narrator

hit escape

then tab to a exit button for narrator press the spacebar

if when tabbing you don't hear a exit button

then alt tab and try again  to tab to the exit button

and say bye bye to narrator





if what has been suggested above

doesn't work,

try using narrator to navigate to installation maintenance

and reinstall jaws

Hi all,
I too am learning about video intercept error dialog boxes.  It happened to 
a co-worker today and on my wife's machine at home.  Both have never used 
Narrator to get around JAWS not loading and to find out what was there.  The 
co-worker issue was compounded by my not knowing what to do and thinking 
that she should do a system restore.  Is this correct?  Was it due to a 
video driver update and that JAWS didn't know how to handle it, thus the 
video intercept error?  Sigh.  So much to know on these things.
