Don't know. Look at the links I gave earlier. I'm still using XP.

Supposed to make Java more accessible. Dont know how well it works but
probably helps somewhere. Lots of web sites use Java.

   The confusion is that there is a java.com and a java.sun.com .

I am not able to find Java access bridge at the Java.com web site. I
used the search engine there and get no results for "jab" or "blind".
Lots of results for "access" but none appear to be relevant.

Where do they hide that thing?

In my experience, it is. Until I installed JAB over a set of Java
updates a year or two ago, I was unable to navigate Amazon comfortably.
Java is needed for any number of websites.

The standard advice is to reinstall JAB over any new Java update.
For that purpose, I keep a copy of the executable file around so I don't
have to go to the Java website to retrieve it every time. Installing JAB
is a quick, easy process thanks to Sun Micro's wizard.

No. Not necessary. In fact, I only installed that to gain some
not-so-wonderful access to Oracle.

Haven't updated it since JAWS 9.0.

Does one have to re-apply the Access Bridge every time a JAVA
update is installed?

             Hi List,

Sometimes when I logon, I get messages asking if I want to
update.

Today, I was asked about updating my HP printer software. I
went ahead and agreed to it.

In the past days, I’m prompted about updating Java scripts.
What are Java scripts, and do I need to update them?

             Becky
