Thanks. Maybe I'll try Firefox. I was afraid it would mess up using IE so
didn't even try it. Glad to hear that isn't the case.

I had the same doubts when I added Firefox. The way it works is that you
make one browser your default, so any time you click on a link in an email
message, you'll be sent online with that default. However, you'll find
that your other browser handles certain websites better, and you'll be
able to switch. You can do it either from within the browser or by closing
the one you have running and then opening the other and going to that
website.
After a week or so, Firefox's advantages were so obvious to me that I made
it my default. It's faster and generates many, many fewer temp files.
I hope this helps you conceptualize how this works.

I notice people often have two browsers at the same time. I haven't even
tried anything other than Internet Explorer so I'm wondering how much
trouble it is to have Firefox with IE. I have Jaws 10 and IE7.

Quite true. I don't have Firefox anymore; but, I did indeed hear nothing
with IE8.
