Hi counselor,
I didn't object at all to Dean's suggestion of using a period as a search
term or whatever. I just said it seemed more like a worksround than anything
else. That's all. That didn't consitute an objection. No worries. As for the
virtues of WP, well, what can you do. It's a different culture. Law is to
Word as Mac is to PC, more or less. Different cultures.

Yardbird,

I'm not sure that I understand your objection to Dean's suggestion, although
it's possible I'm not fully understanding Dean's suggestion, either, though
it's good to know the function exists in MS Word. As you correctly thought
you recalled, selection by sentence, as well as paragraph and other
criteria, was and remains a function in WordPerfect. Just one more reason
why I prefer it over MS Word.

Well, that's certainly interesting. Thanks. Not that I would've minded there
being just a real key press that meant "to end of sentence," but this is a
clever workaround, as I see it, and by gosh, I guess it'll have to do. :-)

the trick with Extend Select mode in Word is that you can punch a key and
select all the text up to that character. So hit F8 to turn extended Select
Mode on, then hit a period, and you've selected up to the end of the current
sentence. You can repeat this keystroke as often as you want to select
consecutive sentences, and you can use any other keystroke and keep
extending the selection.
