if you remove default.jss and default.jsb from your user settings folder, the update works fine.

Everything works just as it should after removing those 2 files.

Hi,
What about the peoplewho use the other Freedom Scientific Program
that supposedly works with JAWS? who may needthose files that
were put into the "settings/enu" folder by mistake?
And this is a new update?
F S hopefully will fixthis and restore the broken "s" navigation command.
I do not wish to be harsh, but there are now thousands of dual JAWS/ MAGIC users who
respect JAWS and get to wait to update again.

I honestly have no clue why it happened, seriously.
I had no clue those files were even in my user settings folder, so i didn't even think to look there until that tip came through. guess that's just JAWS being quirky.

Well, this may seem a dumb question, but why didn't this happen to me after
I installed my update earlier today? Does it depend on something you've done
to configure your personal stuff?

Hi. Basically it was in the default script, so no matter where you
were in windows, didn't matter, at the desktop, in an e-mail message,
text document, wherever. if you pressed insert down arrow, you got
the error message.
I simply deleted those 2 files, default.jsb and default.jss in the
user settings folder and then restarted JAWS and that took care of
everything.
