sorting

How do you sort messages where the list name isn't included? Maybe I'm daft but
...

I wonder if it's possible to add JFW or similar as a prefix to the subject
line of messages to enable grouping etc.
This would make email reading much easier for those of us who have lots of
emails to get through each day.
