Hi all. Here's a copy of a feedback report I submitted for the beta of JAWS.
If any of you wouldn't mind trying these things out and confirming if they
show the same results, I'd encourage you to report them as well.
I've noticed that JAWS doesn't honor the tab order given in the HTML.
1. Go to this page:
http://www.archive.coreservlets.com/HTML-Code/Tabindex.html
2. Navigate the form fields with the tab, shift tab and other commands that
move to form fields.
3. notice that the edit boxes are not in tab order. The order should be
field 1, field 3 then field two. Not field 1, field 2 then field three.
4. Repeat steps using JAWS 6.2.
Also I noticed some line breaks that aren't honored.
1. go to the following page:
http://news.google.com/?ned=us&topic=t
2. Do a JAWS find for the phrase international versions.
3. Once you're on the line that says international versions of google news
available in, arrow up and down a line or two. Notice there are no blank
lines.
4. Repeat steps using JAWS 6.2.
Thanks,
Blake
