Hi Eric and Gabe.
I also, am having the same trouble when I shut down my computer after using
it for a time. But, when I turn it back on after a day or so, there is no
opening windows sound music, nor is there any speech from jaws. I called
the makers of my soundcard, and am now going too receive up dated drivers
for my sound card. The card is a creative sound blaster live card.
I tryed all of the three suggestions that you posted on the list, but
nothing seems to make the problem disappear. Maybe after I get the up dated
driver for my sound card, perhaps the problem will go away. Any way, I'll
let both of you know what happens.
Best regards to the both of you, and best of luck too you gabe -----
