Below are the instructions I followed in earlier versions. They worked
perfectly, but in the list of scripts in the latest scripts for OE, there's
no "document loaded event." Now, in the list of scripts there are individual
scripts for reading the headers, where I tried to do the same as in earlier
versions, but it didn't work. Hope I'm making sense here. Thanks for any
help.
Instructions followed in earlier versions:
Start Outlook Express, then press insert+0 to open the MSOE.JSS script
source file. Press control+L for the list of scripts and functions. Press
the letter D to select the DocumentLoadedEvent, then press enter. You'll be
placed on the first line of that function.
Find the following line.
ReadHeaderField2 (from_Field2, msg_from1_L)
Place a semicolon (;) in front of that line to comment it out, like this.
; ReadHeaderField2 (from_Field2, msg_from1_L)
This instructs JAWS to ignore that line.
Now do the same for the next line,
ReadHeaderField2 (subject_field, msg_subject1_L)
So it looks something like
; ReadHeaderField2 (subject_field, msg_subject1_L)
Finally press control+S to compile the scripts. You can also comment out
the lines that instruct JAWS to tell you how many links there are in the
message etc.
