Hi, I just asked for a definition of your phrase "a box for programs." I haven't heard this expression before. If what you describe below is an example, what does that mean? A box containing information about a program? thanks. I like to keep up with new terminology. It changes so fast in the computer world. -- Original Message ----- From: "Ricque" <ricque@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 12:01 PM Subject: Re: selecting text seen by jaws curser only? I don't know what a box for programs is, or where to find the one you mention below. You say this issue doesn't have to do with the We. Then where do I find a box called "about Windows?" Thanks. I look forward to experimenting with this so I can see what the issue is about. , ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Jenkins" <saveup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 12:42 AM Subject: RE: selecting text seen by jaws curser only? Hello Daniel. This problem rarely appears on web pages. I see this problem. Most often in things like about boxes of programs. The Jaws for Windows about box comes to mind. So if you would like to review the Jaws for Windows about box virtualize that window and read it with the virtual PC cursor or read it with the Jaws cursor. I hope this helps. Chris. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: Monday, April 11, 2005 11:50 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: selecting text seen by jaws curser only? Hi, thanks for directions to that site, but I wasn't looking for it, nor a way to get in touch with this person you mention. Please reread my message. I was asking for examples of sites at which Jaws can't read the text in the normal way and you have to employ the Jaws cursor, and then have to figure out how to copy and paste text from the page. By the way, if this site you mention is a disability-related site, which is what its name makes it sound like, how come it isn't designed in a way that's Jaws accessible in the usual sense? Again, I wasn't looking for anything. Just asking about why this issue arose. thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Neufeld" <jerry.neufeld@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, April 11, 2005 8:30 AM Subject: Re: selecting text seen by jaws curser only? Hello YardBird, although your real name that surely is not. I believe the web site you're looking for is: www.empowermentzone.com This site has a wealth of goodies, many the product of a very creative and quality-minded computer programmer. If you drop him a line at his e-mail address, I'm sure he will reply.
