rss reader

Hi all,
can you please give me your opinion about a good working rss reader?
I'm actually using sharp reader which is really speech-friendly but
it starts to be out-of-date. so, I'd like to change, especially using
one which doesn't require the .net frameworks if possible.
any ideas, any suggestion are welcome, in private if you prefer but I
think it could be of interest for everybody.
