Just for a little clarification.

There are two different terms here, hot key and short cut key.

A hot key is a key stroke or combination of symotanious strokes that perform
a function within an application, such as control N in outlook express to
create a new message. A shortcut key on the other hand is a combination of
keys that launch an application, for example, I use alt control W to bring
up Microsoft Word.

In other words the hot key is only used while in a specific application but
the shortcut key can be used anywhere, for example, when I use my shortcut
key for Microsoft Word I can use it while I am in Outlook Express and I will
be put into Word.

Just FYI

Not a hot key but a keystroke. A hot key appears on your desktop but a
script is a keystroke you use to get a certain function accomplished. I
could be wrong, it wont be the first time. Judith
