hi Bob,
read the subject line carefully, it is talking about outlook express and you
are talking about ms-outlook. totally out of topic. yes
i'm agree, ms-outlook is using alt+r but for outlook express is ctrl+r for
reply.

hi Bob,
1. to reply an email is ctrl+r, not alt+r.

2. normally, even if you press ctrl+r in a open message and press alt+s
after finish type your message, the original message will
close, it will not open as what you've mention. your email is a best
example, after this, if i press alt+s to send my mail, your
original mail will be close.

Allan Wong

That's because your are still in the original message.

Let me ask you this, do you open an email, then decide to reply to it using
the Alt+R key combo and when you are done composing the reply to the email
you use Alt+s to send it and then hear that message from JAWS?

Think real hard, if the answer is yes it is because you still have the
original email message open that you had before you elected to reply to the
message. You never closed the email message and JAWS is letting you know the
message is still open!

If not, then It isn't clear what you are posting here

HTH,
Bob

well this is a tricky one to explain. As I am replying to you, when I am
done I will hit alt s for send. then jaws will say from boa cat. Now if I
hit the delete key your message will go away but jaws will still say from
boa cat
