Hi Jed, I use Remote Access a lot and I placed the startup for JAWS in the

C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

folder on the remote machine. Where [UserName] would be your profile name.
That way you will be sure you have JAWS in your startup folder.

After rebooting you won't hear JAWS at the logon screen any longer so you
will have to logon without JAWS.. Make sure and logon using your logon name
so you will load the profile with JAWS in the startup folder. After you are
logged in and your desktop is loading JAWS should start. After you have that
worked out you could put JAWS in the

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

folder.

Or in the

C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

folder.

I put JAWS only in my profile startup folder but you could put it in All
Users or the Default profile. I believe if you put JAWS in the All Users
profile it will be a bit difficult because if someone logs in and removes
JAWS from the startup folder it will remove it for All Users. That's why I
put JAWS in my profile or the Default profile startup folder.

Subject: remote access problem

Hey guys,
trying to figure out why jfw isn't speaking when the system boots.
I unchecked the run jaws first option upon the recommendation of FS tech
support.
They told me to take the jaws 60 Icon from the desktop and hit the
applications key and go to open all users.
then they said go to programs, and startup and put it in there.
Now when i did a reboot of the machine, no jaws.
Any idea why this is happening?
It's kind of important i get this fixed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jed
